This policy covers arctestingservices.com (“the site”), run by ARC Testing (“we,” “us”).
What we collect
- What you send us. When you request a quote, send a quote list or contact us: your name, email, phone number, company, your message, the parts and quantities you ask about, and any files you attach (such as logos, tool lists or photos).
- Orders. When you buy, you pay on Stripe's secure checkout page. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe passes us your name, email, phone number, shipping address, what you bought and the amount paid. When an order ships to you, Stripe keeps your card on file so we can charge the shipping for that order when it ships; we only see the card's brand and last four digits.
- Searches. We count the words people type into the shop search, so we know what to stock. These counts aren't linked to you or your device.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our server records basic request details (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one that remembers your cart and quote list, and one that protects forms from forgery. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
We don't use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
To keep spam out, our quote and contact forms run a quick check from Cloudflare Turnstile that tells people from bots. It looks at technical details from your browser and connection (such as your IP address), not what you type into the form, and Cloudflare uses them only for this check.
How we use it
- To reply to your requests and send quotes.
- To process, ship and support your orders, including order confirmations and shipping updates by email.
- To prevent spam and fraud, and to keep the site secure.
- To improve our products, services and website.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Google Workspace, which provides our business email. Your requests, and any files you attach, are delivered there.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers this site is on.
- Shipping carriers, who need your name and address to deliver your order.
- Cloudflare, for the spam check on our forms described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
- Orders: as long as tax and accounting rules require (usually up to 7 years).
- Quote requests and attached files: up to 2 years, or longer if you become a customer.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we have to keep it by law.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing sales@arctestingservices.com. Depending on the state you live in, you may have more rights under its privacy laws, and we'll honor them. We won't treat you differently for using them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and payments are handled by Stripe. Files you attach are sent straight to our business email, where they're checked for viruses, rather than kept on the website. (If our email is ever briefly unavailable, they're held privately on the website's server, where only our staff can get them.) No method is perfect, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
